1. inicio, comienzo El pueblo zapoteco nació en las nubes en forma de pájaros y se dispersó después de oír música, sus dioses creadores se convirtieron en lunas, estrellas y sol. Todos éramos iguales, el equilibrio perfecto entre seres humanos y naturaleza, conectados con nuestro origen, con el inicio de todo. Esto es Monte Uzulu, la experiencia de ser conscientes. Somos parte de la naturaleza, y queremos honrar a la tierra y el agua como elementos fundamentales. Hacernos invisibles para mirar desde ahí la belleza del entorno en armonía; sabiendo que nuestras acciones lo mejoran y protegen, pero sobretodo inspiran a cada visitante a transformar la manera en que se relaciona con el mundo. El futuro es hoy y solamente generando el bien común, podremos cambiar el planeta, un viajero a la vez. Este hotel nace del amor que le tenemos a la costa oaxaqueña y queremos que seas parte de esta experiencia. La selva que nos rodea tiene miles de años, por eso hemos respetado todos los árboles durante la construcción y pasamos a un lado de ellos para permitir que sigan creciendo. Los recursos naturales de San Agustinillo nos permitieron diseñar espacios que están en equilibrio con la naturaleza, toda la madera es local y los acabados de nuestros muros son de tierra y cal. Además respetamos la reglamentación local de altura y el máximo de metros cuadrados de áreas verdes libres de construcción, desarrollamos un sistema de reutilización del 100% del agua que consumimos y tenemos captación pluvial para aprovechar las bondades de la lluvia y jabones biodegradables que son amigables con tu piel y la tierra. Creemos que de esta manera nosotros nos insertamos al ciclo del agua y la dejamos fluir sin interferir. Este proyecto fue comisionado a Taller LU ́UM, despacho especializado en trabajar de la mano con grupos artesanales en todo México, del cual nos sentimos muy orgullosos. Taller LU ́UM ha colaborado en este proyecto con 4 grupos de artesanos, pero igualmente con Mariana Ruíz de AT-TE para la arquitectura y gestión del proyecto, Paola José de Sombra para la iluminación, Valentina Deffis para los acabados y Tiago Pinto de Carvalho para el proyecto conceptual; Templo Oaxaca, especialista en biodigestores; Edgar Ludert diseñador gráfico que desarrolló todo el branding y constructores locales para crear un lugar congruente, consiente y único. Cada suite tiene una terraza con vista privilegiada al Océano Pacífico y a la selva oaxaqueña. [:en]

We were all equal, the perfect balance between human beings and nature, connected with our origin, with the beginning of everything. This is Monte Uzulu, the experience of being conscious. We are part of nature, and we want to honor the earth and water as fundamental elements. Make ourselves invisible to look from there the beauty of the environment in harmony; knowing that our actions improve and protect it, but above all they inspire each visitor to transform the way they relate to the world. The future is today and only by generating the common good, we can change the planet, one traveler at a time. This hotel is born from the love we have for the Oaxaca coast and we want you to be part of this experience. The jungle that surrounds us is thousand of years old, that is why we have respected all the trees during construction, and we pass next to them to allow them to continue growing. The natural resources of San Agustinillo allowed us to design spaces that are in balance with nature, all wood is local, the finishes of the walls are made of earth and lime. Besides we respect the regulation of height and maximum square meters of green areas free of construction, we have developed a 100% reuse system of the water we consume, we also have rainwater collection to take advantage of the benefits of rain and biodegradable soaps that are friendly to your skin and the earth. We believe that in this way we insert ourselves into the water cycle and let it flow without interfering. This project was commissioned to Taller LU ́UM, an interior design studio specialized in working together with artisan groups throughout Mexico, of which we are very proud. For this project Taller LU´UM collaborated with 4 artisan groups, among Mariana Ruíz from AT-TE for architecture and management, Paola José from Sombre for the lighting project, Valentina Deffis for the finishes of the wall and Tiago Pinto de Carvalho for the conceptual project; Templo Oaxaca biodigester specialist; Edgar Ludert who developed the branding and local constructors for creating a congruent, conscious and unique place. Each suite has a terrace with a privileged view of the Pacific Ocean and the Oaxaca jungle. [:]
